if that hold true that's about $398.00 U.S. Currency...pretty good if that's msrp...

in comparison the FT TC3 retail is 499.95 but you can get them for around 260.

Glad someone brought this up.

BOTH look like they will be very competitive Cars. The R2 has already been proven to be very capable. Hopefully the Pro-4 will be too.

So the question is: In the USA, which Car would be the better choice?

Since this is an ALL NEW design for HPI, it may take several months for parts to reach the stores after the kit is released.

The R3 on the other hand, is a evolution of the R2 and many of the same parts will fit.
How are the Barracuda Guys doing getting parts?

Thought's and comments?

Hey Pops..
glad to see you have switched to Fukuyama cells..

the Pro4 should be very competative. some of the early proto's were based on the TC3 and R2. and currently have the same final drive ratio as the R2&3

I have no problem getting parts from Speedtech, RainbowTen or RcModel. the car is very durable...the only parts you'll ever need to replace are the usual arms, hubs & C-blocks. you'll need to hit something hard to break anything.

Which car is better?...that's a tough choice. may come down to parts avialability. most LHS will carry HPI parts... only a handful in the US for 'Cuda parts.

Since I already have the R2 Web Special...( replaced the SD )
it will be difficult to find a replacement for it.. but the Pro4 is looking mighty impressive. I'll probably wait for the Hara version to come out.

Hope HPI brings the Pro4 Hara edition to the US... if not...I guess we'll all have to order one from Japan or HK.
