Still using stock gears. Would be nice to find a way to fit TC4 gears in there though... cheap and a good supply.
I am working with my friends at MakerSpace to come up with an exact copy of the Pro4 gears (bevel gears inside the diffs and conical gears to match) using their CNC milling machines. We plan to try different materials (i.e. Aluminum, Hard Plastics, Brass).

MikeR-Pro4 spool is 2mm too narrow for Evo5

I think that could be shimmed easily.

Got the new products from Exotek for my Pro 4. Very looking forward to seeing the car on the track.
May I know from you all which 44mm DJ CVDs are using? HB or any other brands? Would the DJ CVDs from HB Pro 5 fit then? That CVD is 44mm too. Much thanks!

Hi, I am using these. Expensive but lasts for many years

HB 67699 DCJ Drive Shaft Set

Possible the PRO5 dcj may work but may be a while before they can be found.

67699 if you keep watch on Ebay you can get them for cheap. I remember a seller that sold me several for $9 each.

I have 2 sets of the TCXX upgrade pack DCJ and it uses a 2mm pin on the outdrive. Its the same part number for the PRO5

Thanks for your advice! I might get a bit confused that what pin size of the DCJ should I go with the Exotek Pro 4 spool then?

The excessive price of the HB 67699 made me go for Spec-R DCJ. Reliable and affordable... You can go with the TCX ones (with 2.5mm pins) or the Tamiya ones (with 2mm pins), the both are 46mm long

Hi All,

A bit of good news- we finally met our target for the spool and diff sales so the v2 top plate has gone into production! Hope to have a couple dozen in stock later next week.

Thanks!

Congrats! looks like everyone was waiting for the servo mount before they made the upgrade purchases
I just noticed you sold out on the conversion, awesome to see people with the car still upgrading. Just curious, how many kits did you make?

Awesome news Mike! I received my PRO4X Spool, Diff and Floating Servo Mount in the mail yesterday. I am building up my PRO4X V2 this week. I can't wait to get the new V2 top plate once it's available.
