any reason why my car is glitching out???
could it be that im not using the right capacitor for my speed control????
my original one broke the wire broke off. so my dad got my one from his electronic stuff.

connection to the receiver???

check all your cords...sometimes a cut in the wire will make you glitch.

make sure you have everything plugged in right.

make sure there are no wires getting crossed with the antenna.

make sure the antenna is fully extended out of the body and through its straw.

re arrange your components or separate them with something so they dont touch... I used to glitch, but I moved the RX and ESC bout 1mm apart and used some foam to spacem out and it fixed it.

replace one component at a time to see if its that, or replace your crystals...they do go bad after time.

ESC's sometimes have an extra wire for digital servos...check that out or cut it off.

Your replacement cap should be .01 Micro farads. 50 volts I think. If it is close it will be fine. Do you have any power wires near your antenna? or power components touching a graphite part? Brush shunts touching anything else? All plugs in tight including crystals?

Here are some ideas that come to mind:
Transmitter battaries low
Make sure any power wires like your battary wires and motor wires are away from your servo wires, antenna, esc wires that plug into reciever, and reciever. Don't mount your reciever on your servo if it is.
Motor may need a rebuild (comm cut, new brushes, cleaning)
Check solder connections and make sure they're not frayed
Did your car work with your dad's power capicitor before? If it never worked with you replacement buy a new replacement from Novak.
If you have a graphite or aluminum chassis keep the antenna wire from touching it (make a hole about an inch from the base of the antenna tube so your antenna enters through there on the tube instead of the bottom so it doesn't touch the chassis)
Your crystal could be damaged so try a different set
Your reciever could be damaged
If your servo is broken it could cause glitching.
Hope some of these ideas help!

yes my receiver is ontop of my servo the antenna is touching a part of the carbon graphite too.

where else can i put my receiver on a trf414mII??????

Whats a trf414mII? I'm not famalier with this car. Here's what I do:
1. Remove you antenna tube from your can and remove the antenna from the inside.
2. about one inch up from the bottom of the tube make a small hole in the tube with a hobby knife. Be careful not to make the hole too big or it will weaken the tube.
3. Install the antenna tube.
4. Thread the antenna through the new hole instead of the bottom of the tube and pull the antenna through the tube enough so the antenna doesn't touch the chassis.
This is what I described in my last post, mabey I wasn't clear, I hope this is. If you have questions just ask me and I'll try to clear it up .

its a tamiya
it uses a saddle packs so there has to be something stacked unless you have really small esc and receiver servo etc.

today when i was cutting the wire strap off my car that was holding the antenna i cut the stupid thing.

i just soldered the antenna back to the speed control.
what i did was it the right thing to do?

Thats what I did when I accidentally cut my antenna on my xxx-t. It works fine. A more permantent thing to do is to buy a new antenna for your car, disassemble the reciever and install a new antenna. But if you don't feel like doing that, it should be fine. But don't forget to put some heat shrink on the solder joint .
