If you drive across the state line (about 15 minutes), there's gambling boats and another boy's club that's pretty fun too.

Not for us in the Northeast, I can be at the Gate in about 11 hours but Omaha is more like 23-24 hours. I just feel it's something that should be considered, it would be nice to have another well supported ROAR race.

I stopped by the hobbyplex on my way to Cleveland and have to say, the track/hobbyshop is impressive. I hope they get it so I can drive to Omaha and attend a Nats race! Florida is bit too far for me to drive..

I'm fully confident that If we get the race it will be well attended. I can't see how it wouldn't be. There are more than plenty racers who would be happy to attend a national that isn't 23 hours the other way as well. We hold two big races a year. They don't get sticky'd on the onroad page, but they are well attended.

Don't be so heavy footed. You might get better gas mileage.

I know Mimi from TheTrack in Gaithersburg Maryland put in a Bid for the Nats. Her tracks in the North East.

According to Potter and ECCOM the only 3 are being considered...

I can tell you, for the Carpet Race, the top 3 from our committee were .. and in no paticular order.

The Gate
Thunder RC < Boylan
Hobbyplex

We will see how it goes. I would hate to see the race go to a track just becuase it is in the home state of the president.
