Default Battery and tires

Will this event have a handout foam tire?

If not what tire do you think most drivers will use?

Given what batteries are currently approved and what batterys will be approved before this race
What most likely will be the battery of choice
(not necessarily the exact brand but IB,EB,GP and 4200 4400 4600?

Is rubber tire a possibility for masters and stock or is that unlikely?

Are traction compounds allowed at national events?

At the original BTH races in Memphis they had a bbq on Saturday after the qualifying was over. I know thats not a race on the scale of a national, but it was pretty cool.

NO Batteries will be approved before this race. The next approvals will take place 6/1/08

Is rubber tire a possibility for masters and stock or is that unlikely?
Unlikely, unless they can get a deviation for a seventh class as rubber tc something

Are traction compounds allowed at national events?
Yes, unless the track asks for a rules deviation to disallow. The PLex has not asked for a rules deviation on this.

ROAR takes care of that and they haven't told us anything yet.

Thanks Matt,

I was wondering the same thing and how about the hotel and entry forms? I know you guys just found out and I know it takes time to get things around and I understand that the time frame was reduced because the late and tough decision by Roar, but I'm an inpatience racer and I want to know - really I have to know - it killing me.

Entry forms are also Roar's dept. Coming soon. Tim got the hotel info yesterday and it will be on the official website for the carpet nats very soon. Until then you can just stare at the countdown clock and wait patiently.

Ok I guess I can wait! But I think I'll start singing the countdown - 93:23:02 to go. 93:23:02 to go take it down pass it around 93:23:01 to go
