this kinda makes me not want to know more about it, best not be chip and dales style,

ive been to a few of the wierd rc race locations, and there is at least 1 thing cool to do at all of them, if you go to the novak race and stay at teh host hotel look across the street, that is pretty much were you will find everyone

honestly all i care about is a warm track, a convenience store to get my monster within walking distance,( or at teh track is better) and a nice hotel, those make for a decent race imo.

every year i go to the birds i say im gonna go to disney world, but i have not made it there yet, lol...i say that at every race but never end up actually doing anything sept party on sunday night
Im not sure if you run asphalt or not, but for what its worth, the track will be warm and you wont have to go to the convenience store because we keep plenty of Monster, Red Bull, and Rockstar in stock here at the shop at all times.

56 minutes from the shop to the bridge, if I'm driving. Or if you want specifics 72 minutes from the shop to Platinum Plus!

I feel I'm qualified to speak on this one as I've lived around the country during my stint in the AF and now I'm stationed here at Offutt AFB (5 minutes south of Omaha). There's more to do here than there has been anywhere else I've been stationed. Be it museums, one of the best zoo's in the country, shopping, nice restaraunts, gambling across the river, whatever. If you don't want to attend, fine, the race will be great without you and you'll be missing out on a great event and a great area

I'm not in the middle of nowhere, at Nationals last year I was at the track morning to late into the evening, aside from finding a place to eat I didn't care what the tourist scene was like. All I was there for, was located in an 80'x40' hung of ozite!!!

Might not be fair but it is safe to say that you move the race from the new current location (Omaha) and have that race in Vegas it would draw more racers.
That was my point.

Not really, that is Mid-Atlantic. Besides, this thread is about electric onroad.

So out of the 2 electric on-road races your mad one of them wasn't in the north east this year? As was stated in this post earlier Region 8 has never had a electric on-road nationals. So I do think you can suck it up for a year

Not the fact that the onroad races are not in the Northeast, but NONE of the nationals are in the Northeast. I'm annoyed because the two onroad races are in the middle of nowhere. Omaha may be "ok", but Alabama? Come on, who the hell wants to travel to Alabama?

If the facility has the means to host the event, they should be given the chance.

The best host and best racing may not be provided at the ideal vacation spot. I don't look at my race travels as vacation, I look at it as racing.

That is not very fair for the other regions who are not the premiere travel destinations but have great racing facilities.

Sweet roar nats in my back yard!
Finally both on road nats are in a place I can get to not have to travel half way across the country.

By the way we grow cotton not corn.
