The Gate
Thunder RC < Boylan
Hobbyplex

We will see how it goes. I would hate to see the race go to a track just becuase it is in the home state of the president.

just bring it to florida. if you want to make it "as much fun as possible" how can you beat a place that has an awesome downtown life, a beach 15 minutes away, and one of the best race organizers r/c has ever seen. that hobby plex looks sweet but nebraska doesnt sound like a lot of fun.

Hi Garrett - You'd be welcomed at "The Plex".

The Omaha Epply Airport >OMA< is approximately 15 minutes from the track.

When was the last time you ran off to the beach during a major race? Nebraska may not have a ton of stuff to do (sorry Huskers), but they know how to race and run races and thats what we go to the NATS for is to race.

There is plenty of stuff to do near the Plex. Most of Nebraska's 1.5 million population is located in the Omaha metro area. The Host hotel will be across the street. The Airport is right down the highway. Legends bar and grill is across the street. Hooters is a ten-minute drive. If you bring the family, we've got one of the best zoo's in the nation, and plenty of shopping, movie theaters, etc...

And our track is the bomb. If we don't get it this year we'll put in for it every year until we do. Once you get here and see what its all about, you understand. That's why we get guys from all over coming back over and over again.

While the Omaha track looks fantastic The Gate seems like it would be the most logical choice for attendance. The largest carpet racing crowds are scattered throughout WI, MI, OH, NY and the Northeast which are all within driving distance. The cheaper it is for these guys to get there the better chance you have of seeing them actually show up.

Nick
