airplane ESC

what's the difference between airplane/heli brushless ESC aside from the reverse function? can you use Air ESC for on road brushless application?

First of all they often are rated less amps than car esc because they don't use high rpm motors like cars. An avarage airplane or heli motor rotates 3500 -5400rpm while car motor are rotating 4600 to 7700RPM per volt. 1/18 brushless even draw 9200KV. Now the esc draws the most amps when it starts to move the vehicle. In brushed motors we measured more than 100amps in modified class when we hit the throttle at the start! "
Second the airplane/heli uses a"soft"start so you cannot "punch" it at the starting line which gives your car a slow start.

brushed motors are basically a short circuit when starting from a stop.
