Default Novak Brushless problem

I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions accordingly, but when I turn the esc on it works for about 5 seconds and then stops, and the blue and amber led starts blinking.
If i then turn it off and turn it back on the same thing will happen even I don't pull the throttle.
can anyone help?

Which ESC? Are you running a motor that is too hot for it? I trust you are running 6 cells (or 2 cell lipo). Give us a little more info.

i am having this same problem im runnin my novak 10.5 ss4300 brushless motor and matching ESC and using a stock 88tooth spur 48 pitch with a 22 tooth pinion. I know 22 is too high when it requires 16 for the 5.5 ratio.

yesturday i was playing with it wheh nit all of a sudden stopped and boom nothing. The car will run but only when i give it alittle shuv then it stops and a blue LED comes on and i cant do anything. ive tryed resetting it but i still get the same issues.

i think i fried mine. lt me know if you figure this out.

Hmmm, kind of hard to fry a GTB...the thermal shut-off kicks in and the car will stop until it cools. As far as FD ratios, the ones provided by Novak are usually spot on. One should deviate by one or two teeth AND use a temp gun to ensure the motor is in the 160-175f range. For those who are getting the "lights", have you sustained any damage from a crash? Any wires on the circuit board touching? Also, ensure you are running in BL mode if the motor is BL.

Maybe the motor mounting screws were too long and damaged/bent the sensor ring?????

Shooter,

Try giving our tech support a call to help you trouble-shoot your system:

949 833 8873

But to give you a headstart: check all of your connections... sensor connections... motor connections... make sure everything is as it should be... any one of those being out of kilter can cause the problems you have described.
