Bruce has claimed it to be the same as dbl pink. I thought the same as you just reading the different charts (all are different btw) If you feel them back to back, they feel similar in stiffness.
I am not sure on the shore ratings. basically using the jaco part number. the last 2 were suppose to be the shore rating. Jaco part number is 2742 for black and 2735 for 2xpink

we have changed some from nimh to lipo. we were running the lilac/yellows and now run 2xpink/yellow in stock. hard to tell laptime and such because we have changed the track twice already since we all converted to lipo

what I don't know is what the tires will be like on high bite. I have been to vegas twice now. the first year we ran purple/gray at home and then in vegas it was lilac/yellow. so started runing lilac yellow at home. the second year the magic combo was still lilac/yellow. my car was just way more responsive in vegas then at our home track. I really like the 2xpink/yellow combo, but was afraid that with the setup I have and the tire combo that it would be undrivable in vegas with the grip being that much more.

The CRC ones fit and aside from the color coating are the same blue/white/red soft to hard
Associated ones are a little off I think length and diameter

Thanks to Bruce, I've finally got my REV5 running really well. We race carpet on a track similar to the IIC, but not quite as tight. I've been running 17.5 with a roll-out of 84mm and would like to try 13.5. What's a good roll-out to start with?

Default SPEED MERCHANT REV5 opinions

Looking to buy the rev5.

Any opinions on its performance, set ups. How does it perform in the Usa. Is it a popular ride.
Reliability ,is it easy broke, any weakness . What spares would you advise buying.Front end looks strange compared to the norm. Does it work and staying working. Looks like it could easilt be broke.

I need convincing before i rake the plunge. I currently run an XRAY 1/12th T-BAR but it is not user friendly for lipo and plan to go to snow birds in 2010 where LIPO will be the norm.
Any help advice appreciated.

Preforms much better in Europe than the USA. As with all link cars they break much easier than t-bar cars. The Speedmerchants cars have never won a big race in their history.

The car speaks for itself, I don't think anyone needs to come on the board and convince you that the Speedmerchant is a worthy enough car for you.

I don't know who you are, but you are obviously being extremely facetious, or are mis-informed/jaded.

Speed Merchant has over 25 national titles, and it isn't because the car is made from fine china, or can only be driven by the best... I can attest to the fact that the chassis is tough, after all the beating that I have put mine through.

The Formula front suspension makes adjustments easy to perform, set the caster, then camber. The biggest wear item aside from springs will be the teflon o-rings. I keep extras on hand all the time. If you are just starting out, or would like a more simplified, bullet proof suspension, the Rev5L Sport version contains the old skool front end that has won Speed Merchant many titles over the years.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
