donny - congrats again on the run.

so did the lighter blue side springs help take out the steering? or was it the wider front track w/ the 0.04 shims? otherwise your setup looks pretty "normal".

do you think the black art body adds more steering than the protoform or parma?

Glad to hear the Speedpassion 17.5 was running strong for you Donny. I had the impression that you were running a "360" branded Duo . . . Am I missing something?

Spec classes at the Snowbirds run handout motors if I'm not mistaken...

Nice job guys. It was great to see Mike back after a long vacation. That was a tight main in mod. Donny had the stock race sewn up from buzzer to flag, and Sal did a great job as well.

Now to find a cure for head up ass disease... I got the B in 13.5, but I really want results in stock.

Welcome back Kenny. It was great pitting with you at birds. All my Tekins performed flawlessly.

Mike- The lighter side springs def. helps mellow the cars out. I think it locks the rear of the car in more than it takes steering away, if that makes any sense. Weird thing is however, I cannot run the 21's at 360, I just can't get it turn with them there. I think its a paragon thing. The wider front end also helped with the "dumping on the nose" feeling and smoothed the cars out. Other than those two changes if you look closely you'll see only 1 dg. of neg. camber at the front, another change from my normal 1.5 to 2 dg. This also helped smooth the car out, especially on center. One more thing, full glue up front. Usually run about 75% up to the edge.

I think the Black Art body def. rotates more than the Speed 8HD. To me it feels like it keeps the car as flat as an 8HD, yet with the rotation of a Speed12.

No I went back and forth on motors Andrew. In fact, I tq'd with a 360 Duo. I realized tho as the weekend went on I just couldn't nail the rollout with the Duo as well as I would have liked (it was getting hot and flat towards end) so I put my old faithful Speedpassion in which is what Sal had been running the whole time and just ran the same rollout as he did. Funny thing is both Speedpassions we were running are about 6 months old and have about 100 runs on them each. ahhh brushless.

Remember what I told you Timmy just stick with one class (17.5) and practice and focus only on that and you will be there. You're spreadin yourself too thin bud.

Default Thanks

Donny

Thanks again for taking the time to help set up my Rev5. Im sure you weren't expecting to teach wiring 101 yesterday, but it was a big help. Now I just need to learn to drive the car (please order more 12r5 bumbers)
