We've got 4 solid Rev 5 drivers down in here in Dallas, Texas. Make like a Price is Right contestant and "Come on Down!"

We run on carpet every Saturday. If we know you're coming we'll make it special! : )

I checked the speedmerchant website but couldn't find a part number for a rev 5 main chasis, just the 4 and 4.5. Anyone know the PN for it? THX!

Good question about the Rev 5 chassis. Last weekend I asked Sal @ 360 RC Speedway to put in a call to Bruce to get me a new one. I beat up my chassis and lower pod plate racing on asphalt this summer.

i will, but I'd recommend you just reach out directly to Bruce to get the part number and/or order.

AWD - go here and look at the list under the three different categories at the bottom. It has pictures and item numbers.

Got my replacement Rev 5 chassis this weekend. Bruce and a bunch of the RCE guys were down at 360 RC Speedway getting ready for Vegas. The SpeedMerchant web site has been updated w/ the part now.

http://www.teamspeedmerchant.com/sho...l/smr1419.html

One piece of caution, this part number also used to be for the Rev 5 chassis -- so I would make sure the chassis is named Rev 5.

Default Peedmerchant Rev 4/4.5

I am going to be drilling a couple speedmerchant chassis for this season a 4 and 4.5 for the old school front-end. From checking the various pictures of setups what angle do I want to tie rods? I will be using Jr 3550 and 3650 as servos. Straight across from servo saver, medium swept forward or most swept forward position. We will be running on carpet with taped seems.

Or due to the tape bumps should I run the 12l4 type front end.

Thanks

Actually, the old school front end works just fine, there are no strange angles or actions to worry about. you should shim the arms to achive the desired caster/camber angles. Use a spare roll-over antenna in place of the king pins to measure against an RPM camber gauge.

Proper linkage angles can be obtained by attaching the servo mounts and servo saver. Center the servo saver on the chassis as far forward possible. Leave just a slight gap from the suspension block to the screw (I use button heads) that mounts the servo to the servo mount. Mark and drill your holes.

I usually put a piece of masking tape on the chassis for marking purposes. To be sure that the hole locations are square on the chassis, use a pair of calipers to lightly scribe the tape, measuring from the front edge of the chassis to the hole center lines.
