Default New Audi A4 TT01

Hey this is my first post here please mention if I am doing anything wrong

I just bought a new Audi A4 DTM tt01 kit and built it without any problems at all. (I also have a 5 year old m03 chassis). Anyways, instead of putting in the stock motor and esc I used my 15 turn motor and dynamite tazer esc from my previous car. The motor has a 20 tooth pinion and the spur gear has 61 teeth. Acceleration is excellent (much better than my fwd mini) and top speed is good, however i want to add a new pinion to increase top speed. I notice that the motor gets hot with the 20 pinion on it. If I get the motor heatsync hop up would I have a problem with say a 24 or 25 tooth pinion and would I notice a difference? (Also the instruction manual only shows holes for 19,20,21,22 pinion gears so would I have a problem mounting a pinion higher than that?) Thanks in advance.

If the motor is getting hot already it may not be advisable to fit a larger pinion.

However, if you do want to fit a larger pinion, you can fit up to a 22 tooth 0.6mod pinion with the 61 spur. To fit larger pinions you need to get the speed tuned gear set which includes smaller 58 and 55 spurs.

Also there is a dedicated TT01 thread on this board with lots of information and is the best place to ask questions.
