cHckbOY5>>
I bought this charger from Straight Ink directly and was about $240, actually I paid by Yen.

PizzaDude>>
actually It's almost same as robitronics expert charger, differences are Peak Lock and pulse chargesystem.
RecordBreaker has these function, peaklock system allows you can hold charging when it got miss peakvoltage on the first and 2nd stage.
the pulse charge system makes (it is selectable!!) the batteries more punch!!

here's a picture and a deta.

Default Eagle CDC V6.0B vs Pro-Trak

As promised, here are some (pretty meaningless) comparisons between charging on the CDC and Pro-Trak...

This is using a tired pack of GP3300's (yes I know the capacity stinks)...

First of all, a cycle was done on the CDC to "wake the cells", being their first cycle for 3 or 4 days.

Second cylce was on the CDC (again). Settings were 5A chg, 20A dischg, 5mV per cell delta.

Charging from flat (4.8v discharge on 1st cycle)...

Capacity in - 2970
Peak Voltage - 9.410 (my eagle seems to rate charge voltages 0.1v higher than my multimeter)

Discharge to 4.8v (CDC default) after brief pause (no more than 2 minutes)...

Capacity out - 2612
Av voltage - 6.916 (my cdc seems to rate discharge voltages 0.1v lower than my multimeter)

After an hours cooling, third cycle was on Pro-trak, identical settings as CDC (peak delta 0.03v, same as 5mV per cell).

Charging from flat...

Capacity in - 3002
Peak Voltage - 9.19 (pro-traks voltage ratings are with a few hundreds of a volt of my multimeter)

Discharge to 4.8v after brief pause...

Capacity out - 2716
Av voltage - 6.88 (this has been calculated by myself by from the Pro-trak Av1 and Av2)

So there you go - on the surface, the Pro-Trak appears to get more capacity from the cell, but with poorer voltage. But because of the inconsistencies in voltage monitoring between the two and my multimeter, I wouldn't like to say anything for sure! Next test is on the track...

Best chargers: We own (1) Turbo 35 (1 )turbo 35 BL and (2) Novack Millinium Pros. Also have 1 Turbo 30 for sale, its an older one (not flex) but it is in excellent condition.

Well, these are the issues I had with my Expert.
Not being able to self select peaksetings in the 3stage mode.
And the pulse-charging is what seems to give the Pulsar it's little extra...

i use it and its really good! i used the yokomo charge for a race and it does produce a lot more punch than regular peak charge!

Is it normal for the charge cycle to stop for a couple of seconds every minute - it's rather freaking me out - I'm guessing it's part of the "Internal Resistance" monitoring or some other calculation - either that or mine is faulty...

Also, there is a manual addenda in the box (all in Japanese sadly) - the diagrams show suggested thresholds for GP and Sanyo 3300's, and also mentions "Batt V Too Low" and "Batt V Too High", plus a table of amperages - does anyone know what this all means and is it important?

PS I'm trying to do some back to back tests with the Pro-trak to see how the two compare...
The pause is normal, mine does it too so do others I've seen. Not sure exactly why it does it but it does!

The "Batt V Too Low" and "Batt V Too High are error messages you get when it detects too few or too many cells connected, dont worry.

RE Your Pro-Trak / CDC comparison. It would be interesting to see the same pack charged on one and discharged on the other and vice-versa. I'm sure you have something better to do though
