Default Soldering to COPPER

doublest;

Copper is very EASY to solder to if you have the right equipment. The Motor Tabs are part of the Brush hoods which act as Heat Sinks to dissapate heat.
More than likely your Soldering Iron probably does NOT have enough Watts (Heat) to do the job. 60 watts is considered the minimum with a 1/4" wide tip on the iron.
