Default Wiring 2 Batteries Together?

Hello, I just got into RC Cars. I have a Tamiya TB01.

Can I take two 4200 batteries, splice the positive's & negative's together, then into one plug. Will this fry the car, or will it give me twice the play time? I also have a couple 1500's and 1800's laying around, can I do the same with these?

Thanks
CJ

The easiest way to do this is to make a plug so you can separate the batteries later. If you wire a plug so your batteries are in parallel you will double your capacity while leaving your voltage alone.

This is an idea of what I am talking about ...

If you combine the negative terminals, and combine the positives, you are wiring in parallel.

You will be adding a lot of weight however which will negate some of your runtime but you will still see longer runtime.

I second or8bital's comment, just don't do it. The weight distribution and everything will be thrown off. Not worth it.

But if you still want to do it even though not recommended, yes, wiring positive to positive, and negative to negative is called parallel wiring. This would keep the voltage constant.

To explain myself better:

- You car is not meant to carry that many cells
- Using your packs separetely you get twice as much runtime but the second pack can be charging while you run the first.
