Default Changing power wire connecting to ESC

i need to change the power wire connecting to a novak gtb esc. Question is when melting the factory soldering with a soldering iron to remove the unwanted wire, would it effect the esc or the esc can handle it?

You'll want a hot iron that melts the solder quickly so you can get the wires out without too much heat getting into the ESC.

Make sure you put some solder on the hot iron (this helps the heat to spread) then put the iron against the wires.

ESC's don't like having too much heat going through the circuit boards, remember, the bits that are supposed to be hot get heatsinks!
