Just use Craig Mc's setup from SMA , and if its too agro for you go -25 expo on the steering. More turn in than anyone needs.

All my batteries are 5000 LiPo, as long as it is not thicker than 24mm(If I m not mistaken) it will be ok and will not touch the upper deck.

a ThunderPower 5000 pack fits fine with no modifications.

i had enough steering but the problem i had was on the infield section it felt like the spool was locking the front drive train , there is nothing wrong with the car

i use the steal 44mm shafts but i think i could have done with the 42mm or a ball diff in the front

the problem today was driver error

finnished both races 5th of 6 !!!!!! and i was 1.7 seconds a lap slower then the leading 3 but that was the speedo settings and gearing !! still struggling with the SPX !!!!

but hey if it was easy every one would be doing it

Fullsize servos center better than lowprofile versions.

Yeah, thats kinda what I am headed at. Whats better about using a low profile servo? I am using one and I can't get it to go lock to lock with a Tamiya servo saver. i am using a horn instead. I am wondering if a full sized servo would be any different.

KO PDS-2413 (low profile) locks out easy and centre perfectly

Are you sure your servo is set up properly. I never have to reach over 60 / 70% of steering to reach the max possible for the car. Even with the 416WE.

Than again, I'm using a different brand servo. Using the Savöx low profile. It feels more accurate en faster than the KO low-profile a lot of people are using. And it's a lot cheaper too

Man, is this the truth. I think they also have better holding power, so they don't want to drift when you're, say, holding a lot of speed through a tight turn. I went from a 9551 back to a BLS451 and was very surprised at the difference.

yeah i think he is set up ok

if i go less then the car wont go to full lock and the servo is not moving the saver on full lock , i am using a Kimbrough servo saver and get about 35 degrees lock either side from centre

i built the car as per the book and he turns well

it is a KO servo , old but quick and works well

i have a Futaba 9550 low profile one coming and i will see what it does with that

Low profile servo should not reduce your steering angle at all...

I had heard in the TA05 forum that the Kimbrogh saver does not have as long of an arm as the Tamiya Hi-Torque saver. This will reduce your total steering throw. That forum member got some back by using the offset hole on the Kimbrough, that sits a bit further away from the center. Just something to keep in mind...
