I got the homie hook up. He had 6 cars for me to choose from but I decided not to get his 416. I wanted the MSXX but he's holding on to that one so I went MRE and it's practically new and with spares. The cool thing is I can get parts and not have to always order over seas

I'm not sure. The problem with steel outdrives is they will wear the dogbone pin, when this happens you have problems with binding/chattering in the front end. The plastic outdrives obviously aren't as strong as steel but they keep the car from chattering/binding so that everything works/drives smoother.

You have to be born a Caster to be that cool.

Has anyone tested the original 416 chassis and the WE chassis back to back? I have an original 416 and wondering what the handling differences are between the two before I drop 80 bucks on the WE chassis.

I havent run the WE chassis yet, but the only change I know of is the battery being moved forward. That change will just mellow out the car a bit and make it easier to drive.

Any objection to petitioning a moderator to remove the (no joke) from this thread's title? If we can get it renamed, what should we call it?

Yep...passed on the 416. Until I get beat by one there's no need right I've seen what's going on locally and the 415 was the best choice. With me not racing every weekend anymore I wanted to go with something proven and just learn the track or make small adjustments here and there. If I didn't have kids I'd be the black Rheinard around here

I'll take you up on your offer only if you throw in the wire's to hook it all up

Tamiya sedan info.....since there are a ton of cars and all the same folks answering questions. I didn't get a 416 but received a ton of useful information. I'd leave the thread title alone though because everyone knows where to come for the hook up
