Yes, both the milky blue and white spring sets are same standard length springs. They can be identified by a small colored dot at the bottom of the spring. I use the white set, so the car looks nice...

Craig M, veecee or Bersercoe do any of you have a setup for Whalen I think it is. That is the new sydney track with high grip so I am led to believe.

I have the metro masters in melbourne next weekend as I hear these tracks are of similar grip level. Havent had any chance of a run due to the weather do you guys have any advice?

Current Tamiya Spring ratings in lb's (thanks to Linger)

Milky blue White (Extra Hard) = 17.1
Milky Blue Blue (Hard) = 14.9
Milky Blue Yellow = 13.1
Milky Blue Red = 11.53

This would be the same for the white coloured set too.

Now for the standard coloured set, I'm not too sure if the whites (extra hard) are the same... as Ling noticed there was a reduced coil count on the the milky blue (and white coloured) springs over his original testing of the whites. This increases the stiffness from 15.3 to the 17.1 noted above.
The other springs in all three sets should be similar however, it's just the whites that seem to have changed

As for the shorts... ignore them, they are really for the mini's

what is the center one-way for?

do i have to use the center one-way with the front one-way?

Hi,

Center OW brings more aggressive steering.

The reason: Due to the disconnect between center shaft and the front axle the front axle won't rotate when rolling (off power!). So there will be no stabilizing effect because of turning mass. Better to use Center OW in combination with Front OW to have the maximum steering effect.

Well put my good man! I love a one way diff as it does not spool up if you bicycle and can always put the power down. The center one way increases the efficiency of the drive system and coasts a lot better ! I use both one ways in my 416 . They allow all 4 wheels to spin at different speeds. W/O the center one way , only 3 tires will rotate differently.

Springs are blue-yellow
Pistons are 3 hole
Roll centre spacers (53932) included
Serrated (Square) wheel nuts
Extra outdrives included with spool
New motor mount and centre post looks great

Awesome ! Looks like a normal setup for a change .. And I bet it'l work well on the carpet too. Does it have sway bars ? medium in front and soft in back? Glad they squared up on the front blocks. I might have to try the c's instead of the d's I have now.. since the arms are shorter is there a spacer or 2 outside the wheel adapter , or a wider adapter?

Roll bars are medium front and soft rear (black coloured) just like on the original 416
Wheel hubs are the same (4mm), 0.5 and 1mm spacers included, manual shows 0.5mm used at the front
Rear swing shafts are 42mm
TRF teflon sealed bearings included
Oil is normal yellow #400

54144 new rear belt
54145 new larger urethane black bumper
