Not so I have a total of 17 counted laps, paper shows 17 captured laps with times, Dee with 16 which is what he was running on his second qualifier. I lapped everyone except for Dee and Ernie.....which they came in at sixteen....That is why I asked you about your TQ at the track!................
Note you stated that you did not get a lap in......."DNF" or would you count that as lap two since you went under the line... I did sixteen in the Quailifers with slower laps.... I also sand bag in my quailifers...as well as my mains that why I wait or slow down for you or bigWill when you guys get tied up or someone car pushs on turn one .....to have fun and race.

I will do my standard cleaning to the 416, look at some areas of improvement.....change to a lighter stock oil (25/15) and softer springs(yellow/red). Relube the Diff.....Throw the Sway bars in the trash and Head down to Fayetteville to get my LAP back.... P.S. bring your best team packs/tires you will need them! 65F*

I did look at the paper. That's why I thought it was odd that you would ask me what I qualified with. But I didn't say anything. Also Ernie broke and didn't finish the race. Then you accused him of cheating. So he took his motor apart for you. He said it didn't matter any ways because he broke.

But who cares. Just a club race. I'm trying to egg you on to bringing out the ray so I can compare handling. But I guess not. Hopefully I can get Justin out there then instead.

Going LiPo??

Thought I'd link up a review JimmyMac did on another thread that 416 owners may not get a chance to see. The stainless steel EZ LiPo mount base and balance weight will fit a 416 with minor plate mod in the thin part of the plate, quick and easy. Just got another new batch in on these also.

Thanks for the feedback Jimmy..when I catch up and have time for custom engraving, give me a shout...you've got one coming on the house.

I will let you test the Ray out for awhile if you stop bringing it up......

Call up Justin I will pick him up if he want to race.....if not I will do testing at Durham......You will do well anyway you look at it....but do not sleep on BIGwill

I did not care about what Ernie had in his car.....this is the kicker....someone bet me that he would not show his motor.........that is why all of the racers came around.......and now I am up 20 bucks.

Does Justin have a Ray now.....I thought he was going to go with the 416

I am going to shoot for the TN TCS race so if you can take that time off......we can fly or drive....but you will have to do some of the driving if we do take my car.......if you do not mind driving an old man car.

If I do not see you Sunday I will see you at the Wood with the 416 with a Belair Body on it.....

I rebuilt the diff for the first time (2+ months) and used ceramic balls and thrusts. The diff doesn't even feel real now, it's so smooth. Hopefully the ceramics don't give me trouble. I seem to remember them not being grippy enough for brushless torque, so I may be rebuilding the diff again very soon, and in a hurry.

I am still on the origional build of the diff and it is amazingly smooth. I want to try just cleaning the balls and rings and resusing them. I did pick up a front diff but I don't think it is as fast as the one way. Want to try a spool next.

Syndr0me - how is the racing in Denver?

Thanks Verndog. I should of ordered 2 side plates. But I'll wait first and let you catch up. Maybe you can engrave JimmyMac on them for me. I really like the bottom plate. Works great. PM me when you are ready. Heading to the track today. I'll show them what it looks like.

Are there any parts i need to think about buying before i go racing my 416? Got the ti and alloy screw set but are there any other option parts that might be needed or come in usefull? I used to have a mass of 415 parts but i sold most of them.

What parts are worth carrying in my parts box? Wishbones, hubs are needed but anything else?

Also anyone able to advise me what the best brushless 27t speedo and motor setup is at the moment?

What is "thursts" and why would ceramic be better? Aren't they all just "balls"?

Hey guys,

just a quick one for now, setup from todays carpet wars meeting. Car was very, very good, and carried awesome corner speed. There were a couple of big sweepers in the track, and was easily able to keep the speed up.
I'll add some more info later, but here's the sheet anyway.

what do you think the key elements were to the higher corner speed? Was it the track condition alone or something in particualr in the set up?

What other brand of springs are a direct fit for this car? I might build one up for foams. Yuck.
