TF Racing have launched their fully universal carbon fibre battery tray. Made in 3mm carbon fibre they help hold batteries in place during an impact where tape would sometimes break. Light and universal it fits most touring car chassis’ and has adjustable positioning for fine tuning your chassis balance. Mounted on 2 rubber o-rings to avoid tweak, it can accept LiPo batteries up to 138mm x 47mm. larger sizes to follow.

Hi
I did just install the Smokem LP chassi to my 416X
But I did loose lot of steering versus the stock chassis.
My set-up are like the Jilles uses alot, white / blue springs, shock oil 450, C/C blocks front and 1XA / E blokcs rear.
Anye tip to get moore steering in the car ??
I did remove the screw above the steering rack and did take out the front sway bar, that did help a little , but still I do not got enough steering.......

Try removing the aluminum steering brace altogether. This is the only way I can get my car to steer on a high bite asphalt track without raising the roll centers to the moon.

Thanks for fast reply !

Maybe I should try softer springs in the front ? And raise the rollcenter ?

try this:
blue front springs, yellow rears
1mm shim under both rear suspension mounts
4mm shims on the top rear bulked
3mm shim on the rear hub carriers
3mm shim on top front bulked
small rear sway bar
medium front sway bar
-1.5* camber front, go to 2* for more steering as needed
-2* camber rear
5mm front ride height
5.5 rear ride height
1mm front droop over ride height
1.5 rear droop over ride height.
Hope this helps, this is the setup i run on mine and it seems to be really aggressive on high bite conditions.

Do you lose steering in mid-corner or turn in or turn exit? Do you feel it push? Is the rear end planted throughout the turn? Talk to me goose.

This is going to sound like a dumb newbie question, but it's important to me. I'm finding the antenna post to be a bit too narrow for most antennas to fit into. The stock antenna that came with the kit doesn't even to fit. Any solutions would be helpful.

Cut the bottom of the tube at an angle. It should slide right in then.

It will go in. It's a nice tight fit. I've never had an antenna tube pop off.

Thanks again for reply !
Tron and CraigM :

HELP! what combo spur / pinion can i run to reach 3.5 fdr?
Thus far either the pinion is too big and comes into contact with top deck, or combo is too small and won't mesh without modifying the motor mount which I want to avoid..
Thanks in advance!
