If you have high traction I find the trf lipo chassis works better with the original top deck that came with the car, It's slightly wider and stiffer. Make sure you sand the top decks down front and back as they are a tight fit and can cause a tweek from the get go.

Hope this helps.

I'm looking for shims to go under the split block to raise roll centre. I found them online a few days ago but can't remember where. Can anyone help?

I didn't think there was specific shims for the split block. I thought you just used normal shims or washers under them. If someone could post a link to this product that would be great.

Jeez, I'd forgotten just how good Tamiya's are to drive... Finally got round to running my 416X again these past few weekends, ran modified last week and 17.5 boosted on two very different tracks... but only had to make a couple of small adjustments to get it spot on for both...
Now just need to stop myself ordering a 417 as a christmas present!

Good to be back

Ahh, not quite... Ran a JRX-S R all last season, but now gone back to blue. Had some issues with the Losi that I just don't think could have been resolved without a fairly big update (which I just don't have the ££ or time to put into), and the car has now been discontinued, so not much point to carry on.

Anyway, brought a second hand X with LiPo chassis not long after finishing the national series, but with a very busy period of work, re-locating to china, and my confidence and enthusiasm having taken a big battering as well, I've only just manged to run it

Nothing like jumping in the deep end though, first time I so much as touched a controler in 3months, never run a LiPo chassis, never run 3.5t with boost, never run a gear diff...and guess what, didn't take long to get back into the swing of it and have a big grin on my face
