Give it a try you might like it...

Just giving my 416X a spring clean (yes, it's nearly spring down here ) and I've noticed the swing shafts (front and rear) have quite a lot of play where they connect to the axles. Looks like wear and tear from the pin.

The car is pretty much out of the box, but I don't have 42mm and 44mm spares lying around. Is there a maximum length swing shaft I can use? Is there a preferred/stronger replacement for the standard ones?

Phil.

I use 46mm steel ones at the front to make the spool cup last longer. The steel ones are more durable compare to the alum blue ones that came stock with the kit.

46mm steel in the front and 42mm aluminum in the rear.

If you use the steel ones in the rear as well, you'll see a lot less play.

Does the swing shafts on the 416X wear out fast? What other 416X parts are easily worn?
