I must have missed this when I first read Kentech's report from the worlds
For people like me that change shocks and springs all the time, the new style of ball joints the dampers mount on are awesome! On my old 416 I had replaced the standard joints with the hex headed ones, but after a while they strip the arms. I had considered using the shock top and ends from TOP or XRAY shocks to make this happen but if tamiya are going to offer the ball joints in the same size as the current ones then that would be a much easier solution

for those who are interested...
i managed to fit top photon gear diff into my 416x, the gear diff itself is a direct fit with the bulkheads. you need to drill extra holes in the pulley though.
price is cheaper (if i'm not mistaken about half the price of specR gear diff) and it works great. the only thing is that it has red outdrives haha...
