Haven't heard Toni mention that, but I will ask him. If not Gonzo is very reliable in case anyone would like a better retainer (than original Tamiya) for the HPI springs.

Just a note for anyone using the HPI springs. You'll probably want to use the wider HPI spring retainers as well. They come on a parts tree that include shock ends which you'll need to use to get them to fit. The good news is, for whatever reason, those shock ends fit the Tamiya ballstuds perfectly and the shock builds to 61.5mm with no problems.

Prodrive is what I was thinking of. It sucks that their LiPo chassis won't work on the X, it looks really cool. They have the Tamiya blue anodized retainers for HPI springs, I will still probably just stick to the HPI parts, their shock end has a lot tighter grip on the Tamiya ballstuds than stock, so the shocks are less likely to pop off in a hard impact.

Thanks Randy!
btw, know of any good lipo trays? Tired of taping/gluing my lead weights to the battery.

How does one tape the pack into that?
I used to use a bitty design tray, they are pretty neat and they weigh 60g which is good for balance. With my new car I switched back to not using a tray and I think the car changes directions a little better with the weight more centred
