I am at the track right now and just completed three practice runs with my new 416. The track owners painted the celing white to improve lighting over the weekend and even though they covered the track with plastic it is pretty slick.
I have Corys set up on and the 416 is easy to drive and very predictable. It is a little loose on corner entry off power but I think that will be fine when the traction comes up. Due to the holidays I don't think we will have enought cars to race tonight. That is fine as I will just use the track time to get aquainted with the car.
So far, I love this car!

Do the TA05IFS front uprights and knuckles fit the 416 as they look the same but have different part numbers?
These asre easier to get than the 416 ones

I raced the 416 last night for the first time. I had Cory's set up on it and my primary issue was I had a power off lose condition. As soon as I got back on the power it was fine. I removed the rear sway bar and that helped a little. I am wondering if I need lighter rear shock oil? Currently I am running associated 50 and the front and 40 in the rear.
Suggestions?
I love this car. It is very forgiving and easy to drive. It seems to have good corner speed as well.

The IRS tape (which is really 3M tape with their name and 3x the price) is awesome. I used the same two pieces stuck together all night and my LiPo didn't budge. I'm totally not bothered by taping at all, especially with square LiPo that are hard to hold into place otherwise.
I'm really liking this car a lot. The Pdub bumper helped tremendously, with the only thing breaking, oddly enough, was a fluorine ball stud that I used in place of an aluminum one. It broke off in the steering rack, sheering off the ball and leaving the "nut" part behind. I did the trick with the long set screw, but used fluorine since I had them.
I need to get some kind of reasonable setup (probably Corey's) on the car now, and start tuning from there. The carpet was dusty last night, and more slippery than I've ever seen it. It was quite an adventure, especially with an angry 13.5 trying to rip up the carpet.
