On most track surfaces, if you raise the rear camberlink it will make the car a bit less aggressive and easier to drive, lowering it will make the car a bit more twitchy and slightly less predictable.

Lowering the inner front ballstud will give more camber gain which should give more entry steering.

My current setup has 4.5mm under the inner front, .5mm under the outer front. 5mm under the inner rear, and 4mm under the outer rear. I have a setup that generates a ton of steering, and raising the rear link mellows the car out a bit to make it easy enough to drive without many mistakes.

What's a good FDR to start out with for the 416X using a 4.5T motor? Track has a 100' straight.

Also, does Tamiya make 44mm steel bones? If so, what is the part number? Sorry about all my questions, but want to get my car as close as possible to being race ready since I have limited time at the track these days. Thx.

Gearing is hard to say as it really depends on your motor brand, timing and ESC settings, but 9.0 would probably be a safe start. You might want to ask others running the same motor at that track what their settings are though.

54078 are the 44mm steel universal shafts.

They need to worry less about shoes and more about winning races. Third at DHI is pretty disappointing. It seems like the boys have struggled since going to the 416X. It sure makes it easier to keep my WE going.
