If you order from RC Champ, you get the "JDM" version - they don't get the export version. They told me JDM version has front and center one-ways plus spool and direct center shaft. So a bit more bang for your buck but its debatable if the one-ways are useful for most ppl (my 416 one-way is still NIB)...

Don't forget you also need the new upper deck, center shaft mount and rear bulkheads. And the motor mount probably has its own new chassis mounting leg as well.

Joe, how did Patrick get the kits before the other guys? Let us know how your setup from the WE transfers over or do you already have a different setup in mind.
Thanks........Dwayne Flodell

I didn't get mine from Patrick but I know Tamiya Canada had them on Tuesday and Patrick's shop is like 3km's away. That's probably how. No shipping for him just stop in and grab

3) 416 & 416X battery position same, hence different compared with WE.

I have both the 416 & WE but I'd still prefer the original 416 (more steering), but I'd upgrade the top deck & motor to WE.

The only thing u could use from 416X on 416 & WE is the motor mount but u need to remove some carbon on the lower deck, where the motor sits. But if you like to up grade ur 416 to 416X, u will need the new top deck, lower deck, motor mount & rear bulkhead, maybe the front bulkhead as well (this I'm not too sure).

Hope this helps.
Thanks Jonest for your assistance....

I do believe some of the racers will mix & match the items to suit their styles. Perhaps creating a better car. I leave it to the rest to share their ideas.

You can design best car but it ain't hot if no one promotes it. Tamiya does good marketing strategy. They employ TRF drivers to act as forefront to push their products through races & the worlds. This is where the bulk of the publicity came from...

The more wins the better simple as that....

No, every countries distributor gets them at different times (because of shipping differences), but they are all "supposed" to release them on a specific date. This called a worldwide release. Canada and the rest of the world is just jerks (and Tamiya doesn't have a physical presence like USA and Japan)...

So we are jerks and we don't play by the rules. I am starting to get offended I see what you mean but what was the date supposed to be? Usually we are one of the last to get cars so they must be in the US and Japan now to..

They are selling them for 600cdn. here

My car is built and I'm going to the track. I like the differences, I think it will be very good on the track.
