What change or changes would people suggest for lack high speed steering, I running basic Jilles set up with C-C & 1XA - E blocks.

Car extremely stable and turn excellent at low speed and off power but pushes in some of the big sweepers we have on Europe tracks.

what you suggest to help better in entry to mid corner on fast sweeper ??

Is the 416x manual posted online anywhere yet? Also does anyone know what suspension mounts the 416x will come with? Will it have the new TA-05 Ver 2 split mounts?

Cut your rear wing, or let it hang out less. That'll help in high speed, without affecting low speed too much.

From the pics I saw, the X still has the solid 1 piece mounts.

+1 Less overhang really makes a huge difference outdoors in fast sweapers without messing up the low speed stability.

I got it from a fellow racer who bought a few, I am not sure where he got it from.

I started back into TC racing early this year after around a 5 year break (my last car then was a HPI pro 4 )

I started out with the T2 009 and didn't do too badly but I couldn't find a setup that I really liked. I persevered and got it handling ok but always felt like to get a quick laptime I had to make the car overly agressive thus harder to drive and be consistant. I found I was constantly keeping any eye on the car rather than being able to concentrate on my lines etc

I got offered a 416 with some of the WE parts (wishbones topdeck etc) for a really good price so decided to give it a go.

I collected it on my way to a weekend race meet. During the Saturday practice I got the xray to a setup I was happy with so thought I'd pull the electronics out and give the 416 a try.

So after a hasty trackside rebuild more slop than I really wanted (it was used and hadn't been particularly well maintained) with a completely unknown setup I took it for it's first spin. With the same tyres (they were a control wheel, insert tyre) I took a few laps getting used to it, trying to counter the horrible pull left under heavy throttle (like I said there were some worn parts) I got into the swing of it and was immediately 0.5secs quicker over my fastest lap with the Xray.

The more I've tidied up the car the better it has become. I for one was convinced this was the right car for me. I'm sure there are many who prefer the xray but for me it just didn't seem to work out.

Since then even other people have commented that my driving has got a lot better so it really must be good
