Photon and retiring the 416 (to the shelf, I could never sell it)

Hey, looks like I'll be seeing you around, then. I've got my kit pre-ordered.

For me, because they've got a distributor and a team that seems to actually care about people running the car in this country. That's exciting, and one of those intangible things that separates these companies, all other things being so nearly equal.

Same reasons here. TRF's are not sold in Australia, we get ours from Japan mainly, and the local Tamiya importer doesn't support the racer at all. The support from T.O.P. Racing Australia on the other hand is excellent plus I'll have a local supply of parts, and the Photon is a really exciting chassis. My TRF career isnt ending though, I'll have an 801x to run in the dirt soon enough

The B3 just made the B2 obsolete, gives better grip in a wider range of temperatures, so we stopped using the B2....

Congrats on the win Craig... Good job

Shame to hear you leaving us but I guess we all need a new challange (one reason I once tried a JRXS-R, never again!) now and then, and the T.O.P car does look interesting.

Reminds me on setups, I have Glenn Domans to put up on my site, he finished second in modified at the recent BRCA nationaln behind Andy Moore and his TamIya-esque HotBodies proto...no blue bits on that one, not at all

Cheers
Ed

Hi Phil , try the setup i gave you for the 415 in every thing but the blocks
your problem is too soft spring/too hard oil on the rear but you will probably need a 1E rear or even 1 D with the new settings

I've been doing a lot of running on carpet since our new track opened last Wed, tomorrow will be my 4'th full day of running. Gotta say I don't think I could have my car any more dialed than it is.

For anyone interested in seeing the track you can check it out on Live RC, under OCRC.
