ok cool, i know its a solid ESC, what about the new tamiya one that looks like the sphere? that will match the whole TRF theme

The brushless Volac is just an OEM version of the Sphere, I'm not sure if it's identical the the TC Spec or one of the lower spec versions.

Actually, I found it helps a lot on very small tight parking lot tracks. Never tried it on rubber tire carpet though. Seems to have awesome turn in and mid corner, but not the pull out of a corner like a spool or oneway. I guess going tighter would help with that. Maybe a spiff would help with this.
I pieced together a spare diff and added the traxxas slipper pegs into the inner 3 holes. I had to shave some material off around the pegs to fit in the hole, and shave the ends down so they are about 3.1mm. I then put it all together per instructions and I have a pretty tight diff. Tight, but adjustable. I need to test it out on the weekend to see if it will get loose as I put the laps on.

Never had trouble with screws backing out from the bottom. I check them every few race days and re-tighten them, but they're never loose. This is on carpet indoors.
Been using the LRP TC Spec, but got a SPX mounted and ready for a go at the next track visit. I'd been trying the Tekin RS, but it felt wimpy in my car, even with new software. I ended up selling it.
These ESC's with monster timing (Tekin, SPX) are interesting. They kick the timing in at higher RPM's, like on the straights. So, in theory, you could take the physical timing out of your motor, and gear it really low so it rips on the infield. Then, when you hit the straight, the timing kicks in and gives the motor an RPM bias, and allows you to achieve maximum speed. It almost sounds like having a second gear. We'll see how that plays out on the short track, but on bigger tracks, I could see it mattering.

I will be checking them more often now, when I ran the car yesterday I heard the screw(s) scrapping the asphalt. When I pulled the car to look at it I noticed 2 backed out about 3mm and one completely gone
I later found it on the asphalt though.
