i was there last night. Jeff was packaging 20 416s.... it was madness. he stayed open late so i can come in to pick up my new kit. he has continued the superior customer service that steve wang started.

I would say, that you can also use the same dogbones as the old 461 uses (also the 46mm ones) because the block combo wich is used with the short arms makes the same distance between the wells the same.

I also have no issues with my MSXXMRE, i also run the short arms, and the 46mm dogbones.

The Block combos i changed from:

Front: B-A to D-C
Rear: XA-C to A-E (2° toe in)

So when you change also the blocks, than it should be no problem at all.

I might have missed something but about what ESC are you talking?

I have bought an Orion as my first Brushless motor. I chose it just by intuition.
Most of my friends here drive LRP-motors so it's difficult to compare. Should I use the same ratio's as they do (similar car, similar motor-class (10.5 of 13.5 of 17.5) ... or look for a different ratio?

I noticed my Orion 17.5 stayed very cool compared to my friends LRP, but he had a higher topspeed, alldough we ran the same car and same ratio.

I've never used the O-ring. I use the centers of bodypost pads for that . also helps keep the dirt out of thrust bearing on a diff too. And yes on the spool if you have the delrin out drives. On carpet I like two one ways. I think also the length of the axle where the location of the drive pin is different , meaning the 415 and 416 have differnt uprights and axles, but do use the same CVD.

Yeah you right, i was also thinking those black ones, sorry for my mistake to meaning those silicones kinds.
About the length i am convinced if i put diff in front could be possible to using 46mm, but i am not sure about that just because anybody in this forum don't like running 2 diffs.
For the carpet, i have heard about a rich guy around me had made some visit in those defuncted and deserted factories in the last moment to thinking rent them to making a carpet indoor track to organizing races. So i am convinced i need to start learning much more from your experiences maybe i have to buy 2 cars to running different surfaces

Today Hupo Hönigls RC-Carpetfun Winter Racetrack opens for the winterseason.
He himself was not there, but a few guys out there told me that the Tamiyadrivers at the worlds used finaly the old 416 style lower deck.

They said that the new, (more forward batt.) is also with 6cells not the best choice.

Orion has a new brushless ESC coming out in the very near future (should be available in a couple weeks or less now)

I don't have any experience with the LRP motors at all, so I really don't know how they run or how to gear them, but just try different gearing to see how it feels on your motor. If he's pulling you on the top end and your motor is cool try gearing up a tooth and you should be pretty equal.

The ESC is 100% programmable with the KO computer software, so honestly you can make it feel however you want it to. If I had to compare it to anything I would say a LRP Sphere TC with 2-0-1 settings, but with more power in the mid to top end band.

As of now no, but I believe they are working on the software, not 100% sure.
