I haven't checked them all, but it does block the Orion style plugs slightly. You could probably notch the top deck to make it work.

I use the SMC packs with the top wire, and it works out really well. The 5000's fit with a tiny bit of clearance, but the 4000's are great. I'm using a PPZ plate under mine.

First I've heard of the suspension blocks being "lower", sounds a bit off the mark to me

Your reading it wrong. They are saying those are the "lower suspension brackets"...

Not "the suspension brackets are lower"...

on my original 416... i used the dremel drum sanding tool to remove a little bit of the upper deck so the orion plug slides in perfectly. i also removed a little bit of the cross brace so that i could fit my 57T pinion when i run 17.5

Does anybody have any experience with the EVO 5 MS? Given it's shaft drive design, i'm thinking of building one up as my Stock Class killer.

I got a 416 right now, and instead of getting rid of it and getting the new WE, I'm thinking of just upgrading a few parts on it (motor mount, topdeck... no lower chassis since i'm running lipo anyway) and saving up for an EVO 5 instead. Suspension parts are the same, the only addition to my spares would be drivetrain related.

Thoughts?

(Sorry to threadjack)

While I have you guys here, I'm probably gonna replace my lower chassis on the 416 soon. Original vs. thicker vs. new chassis with different battery placement????? Now i've got three of them to decide on... help!

Only for Stock. My brother used a 13.5 in there and ran it with not much success. The torque being put on the chassis etc etc was a little too much for the plastic gearing to handle inside the front and rear diffs.

That was a seaious issue wasnt it ! Maybe tyhe new chassis fixxed that issue . All it needed was a bouble ball bearing at either end if the center shaft.

For Orion style packs with the bullet plugs, try putting the pack in with the plugs to the back. IP3800's worked with the pack all the way to inside and the plugs to the back. Just make sure you run the wire right to clear the belt and spur. No need to dremel anything.

I run a normal "Evo5" and have absolutly no issues with my 13,5 Motor. Also the gears holdup very well (stripped one fornt in 3 years of racing). The last training session i made a beck to back conversation with my 415MSXXMRE and the fastest laptime of the day i runned with the Evo.

Another question: Is the 1F block 0,5 deg. wider than 1E? I read that the World edition comes with XA and F rear. Then this will be 3,5° toe in. .
