yeah, the new belts are supposedly made out of a material with less friction.
RC champ quote: 42980yen. ~ $443.00. ouch. Thank you for the messed up economy.

OK.. I'm not sure about the 416we , but ive seen a brand new 415msxx for $439 and the just released evo5 for $519 at Larry's. Can't really see the new 416 goin' for more than that. But then again, anythings possible.
#3367

MSXX-MRE is currently selling for $309 on the TamiyaUSA website. For those of you outside the US, you can find similar prices on that car on eBay right now.
BTW: TamiyaUSA sells the orginal 416 for $895.

They like to go from one extreme to another I guess...

Larry's Perfomence R/C's had a 416 available for $438.88. Best price I've seen anywhere. But doesn't have yellow bikinis

Tamiyausa.com always sells items at full MSRP so as not to canablize business from our hobby stores hence the $895 price. The $309 is a discounted price since the 415 is an old generation chassis now. We always tell people to go to hobby stores first!

Thats a great buisness plan. If it weren't for the hobby stores there wouldnt be any place to race. And no tracks means no one is buying cars! I try to buy everything from the local track to support the stores where I like to race and only get on line what I can't get from my drug .. lol i mean toy store.

I've heard from a hobby shop owner that Tamiya makes it prohitably expensive to deal direct with them b/c of the minimum order quantities. Unfortunately the common LHS distrubutors in the US don't sell a lot of Tamiya stuff so it can be hard to get stuff that route as well.
#3372

Theres a lot more Tamiyas here than x-rays... and only a few associated and losi cars .. very diverse market

Where's mine?
