For that matter I would just stand the shocks up more.

Or more likely I would have to purchase the parts individually to convert it myself... New lower susp mounts upper and lower deck arms and all.. I still can't quite tell whats so different about the motor mount.
To convert a box stock 416 to a 416 WE you would need to purchase:
  • Lower Deck
  • Upper Deck
  • Teflon Bearings
  • HL Dampers
  • Short Suspension Arms
  • Spool
I have not seen the new motor mount in person, but am told it's pretty different. Also, there will not be a conversion kit at this time. I am going to buy the parts myself to convert mine, but if you're like me you have the spool and suspension arms already, the dampers aren't a big deal, and you have already spent time building your bearings right. Really its upper deck, lower deck, and motor mount.

KEWL! ty .... I would still like to see the dampers, But not for $60. If you end up getting the motor mount, would you be so kind as to post a few pics of it please ?

You are 100% incorrect Rebound is a big tuning option We change the amount of rebound within the shock with different orings/foam on top of the bladder. When you see the Tamiya drivers put Shock Orings outside on the shock shaft this is to limit the up travel of the shock shaft.

Nice pics of the mount .. big difference indeed!
As for the rebound, well, go figure. I've only seen the foam or urithane above the bladder. Wouldn't that effect pack more than rebound? the oring thing was a suggestion for bleeding the shock durring assembly. But hey .... why would you limit up travel.... do your tires rub the body otherwise?

Albeit minor items. Plus the expected date for the US is January 2009. Can someone confirm that date. Jimmy?

Here are pictures of the damper cylinders themselves as you would buy them, and what they would look like with the buggy dampers.

Tryhard: thanks for the pics!

Does the new motor mount "do" anything? I was thinking they might have moved the motor like they have with the cells, but they'd need to change the spur location for it to go fore and aft, there's not much room for it to move lower, so maybe it's thinner moving the motor more towards the centre line of the chassis? or maybe it's just stiffer/lighter/whatever?

Nice pics Low-E, thats such a simple solution. I can never seem to cut fuel line that straight for my noisy cars, but I'll give it another go - the aussie nationals are on a bumpy track so I'll need to go up a bit. Great info everyone

Ed I think you should try RC Champ

42,980.00 JPY = 296.174 GBP

FYI that's around 1 million aussie paso's at the moment

@CarKing:

You forgot to mention the Suspension Blocks. Didn't see the specs, but I guess it would be 1C-1C and 1XA-1E (with the 42106 Kit supplied susblocks you will not be able to run Short LWT Sus Arms).

Due to the heavy Euro/Yen conversion at the moment here in Germany you can have the "old" 416 for 399 Euros. Put in another 200 Euros in and you will have the WE without lower and upper deck.

I believe it's a material change, not a size or teeth change. Less friction probably.
