If I am marketing specialist i will not allow that happening. My suggest will only concentrating on TRF415 line due they released already lot of new options until everything from stock is sold than release TRF416, maybe in next year.
I am convinced they will release sooner a newer version of 416 in next year, maybe call it a TRF416MRE or TRF416MS something like that.
Honestly I am unpatiently waiting for some spyshots in short moments, maybe some japanese friends read my requests than will do a little favor for us!
Can someone translate this into english for me?

"logically it can only have been tested at a very secret location on each of its runs. Afaik no one has caught a glimpse of one or it would have been all over the internet by now"

Unless the car is a "revised" 415, and people have seen it and just thought it was the latest 415 version........

perhaps something with the battery in the centre....

nevertheless, maintain the 415 and the 416 together as front row competition cars might be because they're still not sure they have another winner in hands....

This is a direct translation from the TRF site, using a translation website. Sorry about the squares...

"A/the TRF416 Shashih kit (a/the tentative name) a/the December launching plan/expected price \74,800

The brush-less motor and control tire be new design Shashih which match ハイエンドツーリングシーン that is a mainstream.

《主語なし》It is easy to a/the tire with bulk width equalization, Shashih screw layout symmetry -ization, up light bearing size up etc. around motor position recession, I finished in high Shashih of control nature.
"

My feel is that the 416 is designed to maximise the power and advantageous of brushless motor system and also a chassis which will perform regardless of the tires used.
As to how this can be achieved? Something about symmetrical chassis?
hmmm... Who is Shashih anyway?

I think there will be a total radically innovation design of 416 than 415, that's why booth of them have released on same time, isn't it?

This "shashih" is translated from japanese katagana, it means correctly chassis kit.
I think with google is much better, how about this:

"The new design chassis which matches to the high-end touring scene where the brush less motor and the control tire become main current.

It is easy to tire with such as motor position retreat, front and back bulk width equalization, chassis bis layout symmetry conversion and upright bearing size rise, it finished in the chassis whose control characteristic is high."

Ah... now I get it: it is the MSXX in disguise, as tamiya don't want to go use the 'XXX' in this one...

Chris, yeah, our 05MS are obsolete.... although I dare to say that the 416 will look more like the 05MS than the 415.... anyway, why don't they just release the 420 (415 + 05)???
