what about 42mm swing shafts for the rear? I just built mine and put on the short arms, my right side 44mm shaft squished the plastic blade on the end when I adjusted my camber. I guess if you got wider blocks this would eliminate the problem? or 42mm steel shafts.

I had the same issue when i did my short arm conversion, so cut a little of my blade on the right side, to allow some space between the blade and the diff bolt.

How did you guys set the diff when you built it. Did you tighten the diff down as far as it goes and then let it out abit or did you just tighten it enough to where you like it. I think the first way may compress the spring more and create more clearance.

Interesting how there is some inconsistencies with short arm clearance.

Which suspension blocks are you running? If you have XA-E it is so wide that it should work OK with the 44 mm swing shafts. If tight, you can carve of a little bit of the plastic on the blade on the right side and it will be OK...

You do not need to do anything special with the diff.

Im looking to get a TAMIYA TRF416. I have never had a TAMIYA before so Im looking for some advice. Ive been running a RDX, just looking for something different. First off, where can I get one? LOL Second Im looking for a carpet, rubber tire, brushless, lipo setup. What lipo fits? Looking for everything including gearing. What spare parts should I consider also. Planning on ordering some spares when I order the kit. The track is smooth ozite carpet, tight with lap times around 11sec. thanks
