will a 416 front direct drive coupler spool and cups fix in a 415msxx?
#2178

I don't think so, since the pulley for the 415's are centered, while the 416's is offset(same way the rear diff pulley is, which on the 416 also makes it possible to use the same parts to build a front diff, but I don't see how any of it would be compatible with any 415's)...

Out of our thread serpent boy!
There have been rumours of an updated version with spool and aluminium screws around for a few months but apart from a short supply of 416s nothing has come of it. Considering I have the spool, ti screws, short arms, and a few other bling bits I wouldnt say MY 416 will be superceded by any new model... and if it is I'll buy all those bits too

Is the 2.5mm chassis available now?

Thought I'd share with you guys my 416s first proper outing. I made the changes I mentioned earlier and added the kit wheel spacers front and rear (0.5mm front and 1mm rear). Then I had a little fiddle with the droop and diff and the car was awesome, I qualified 3rd and finished 2nd in a field full of sponsored drivers. Not bad at all, yet I know there is still plenty of speed left in the car - it's still overweight (ti screws are in the mail) and it's off power steering could be a little improved. There is a big event at our track next weekend, once I've run that I'll post my setup

Nice work Craig. Will you be there on Tue night? It would be good to get the cars dialed to the new track!
