Don't go on looks

Get a new t bar as you have planned, and check those springs, and I will bet you will be good to go

Default F104 Front supension in a F103

Hy there!

Wich parts are needed to build a F104 Front suspension in a F103?
My car has already the long topdeck, and the double side servo holders installed.

51380 D-Parts (Servo/Battery Holder)
51381 F-Parts (Front Suspension)

Are these two parts enough, or is anything else required ?

Well, with the outdoor season coming and my track running a rubber tire only rule I have yet to find a suitable rear f103 tire.

I ordered in the available trg super soft tires but they are WAY too soft.
I would guess they will only last a weekend (if that)..

Everything else (ride, cross) is either on backorder or discontinued...
I have a big race the 24th and can't ride out (no pun intended) a backorder.

Need some help here guys..any ideas?
Not getting forced into a 104 if I don't have to.
Thanks
Jim

You also need the F104 king pins as they are longer than the F103 and the F103GT.
Not to be a jerk but why would you want to put an F104 front on your F103? It will just make you car handle like junk.

Maybe he can't find f103 rubber tires...

It would make up for the offset problem but give away the
only advantage we have left over the newer cars (width).

If you want, only need F parts. You can cut your existing servo mount to fit.
Obviusly, buy¡ng D-parts, it's easier.
You will need too 19808241 3x33.4mm King pin (std it's 27mm long)

TRG Superion or super soft, are intended for qualifying.
Try rcmarket.com.hk for TRG medium rears.

Also, you can fit 104 wheels on your 103 with a little modding.

You will need a 2-3mm spacer between the motor mount and the T-Bar, found on F103Gt T Parts 51229 "part 2"

For the front you'll need to shave 2 mm in the upper portion of the uprigth to allow it to mount up.

Also, you'll need 104 front wheel bearings, because are bigger than 103's

There is a huge offset problem when using the 104 rear tires. (front wide rear narrow)

THX for the info!

Yes we realy thought about to use the F104 rubbers, but in that case we stay with our foamys!

Greetz Blueman.

BTW. have trimmed an 3racing F109 Body on my F103m and i have to cut the front section about 15mm shorter that it looks halfway good.

I agree....I ordered a new soft T-plate....I took most the whole car apart this morning including the front springs....Everything looks nice and even, but all be darn if I can't get it to go straight. If I just tap the throttle it spins left, and opposite for braking. I even tried messing with some weights on both sides just to see if I was off, and no change......I am starting to think, or hope that even thought the T-bar looks flat on a flat surface, it may be stressed under acceleration and decelerration......Hopefully I will figure this out....thanks for your help so far....
