In the begining no but end yes. The reason for this is every saturday they put diluted maple syrup down for traction, well for some reason they decided to screw up all the local guys by using DR Pepper. Well there plan worked but it worked to well. There was no grip you couldn't go full throttle down the straight away or you would spin ( with a mabuchi)! So after the first round of qualifying they got out the maple syrup. The day would have been better except it was never sunny when the f1s ran. But having the 8 min mane was fun.

I went to the fun race. Didn't raced in the F1 race though. They had a Le Man class but they didn't say they were going to race it on their website so I didn't bring mine. I only raced in Touring.

I raced in Novice, since I don't think i'm good enough to race in sportsman (GT2). However, I made the wrong choice. There were too many little kids in Novice. They pretty much don't run by the rule. Espeically one of the kid who is knocking everyone off track. One thing I can't stand is that he is knocking people off track intentioally. This is what he says on the driver stand:

"That car knocked me on the side, I'm gonna knock him off the track!!"

And yes that car is mine, and no I did not knocked him from the side, he ran into my car from the side at turn and spinned out, and right after that he has been chasing my car by jumping through all the dots and turns just to hit my car head-on.....

It was fun at beginning for me, but not so good at the end... But the kid seems to have fun chasing my car just to hit it.

What can I say, kids are kids.... But they should really learn the rules....

I was able to make it out to the "fun race" and besides the lack of traction, it was FUN. I guess i did ok though, (won the B-main, by a hair). When these cars are hooked up, they are fun. It was nice talking to a couple of the local guys, especially about finding out where to find some of the option parts.

Will definitely make some return visits.

Forgot to ask where to find those fast Johnson motors though.

OSherman,

So where can I get those option parts??? I seen people having purple heat sink in their le man/F1 car, do you know where I can get that????

I didn't have traction problem all day. The only problem that I had was running 36R in the early morning when it was still cold. But 36R gives me pretty good traction all day after that. I ran Novice, and Novice is the last race of the day and it was getting very cold (AND VERY VERY DARK) that's when I switched to 28R. And the tire gives me tons of traction.

Overall I had great time, The track is just so nice for running electric and gas cars. Perfect size for both.

Well, from what i was told you can get most of those option parts from GYRO hobbies. It is a hobby store near the 5/405 split (north of AlisoViejo). Don't remember the name of the exit. Don't know if these are parts they have readily available, but it sounds like they can get them fairly fast if we need them.

Yeah, watched/heard you guys run in the dark. Quite a task. And how about that young kid that won the TXT in the raffle. GEEZ gets to race for free and on top of that walks away with a $400+ R/C kit.

TAMIYA has one of the best tracks i have seen.

I was only 5 number short of winning that TXT.... ...... my raffle ticket was number 355... If i could just waited that few second to get the 360 ticket... AAHHHH....

I don't think the kid raced. I think that's his dad's ticket. That kid was playing soccer or with his friend..... ... the worse part is not not winning the TXT, but winning nothing at all... not eve a pit towel.. that just sucks.....
