Ya, the diffuser is a "VERY" thin lexan, so one hit at the rear and its gone...

but it does help...

Thanks guys. I guess I'll pick up a diffuser and try it out. This is what I want!

Now that is what a race car should look like...from the front..a land speed record car..sleeeeek, then you look at the side and theres that huge freakin' intake and that monster wing....wow...that would be a ride......I know, everybody on this thread could come up with , maybe $1000 apiece and take turns....No damnit, its MY month.........

Those cars are cool. At the American LeMans Series race at Laguna Seca this year, they had a vintage race with old P900, P750, GT1 and GT cars. There was a white Bobby Rahal Lola similar to this car there. I'm not sure what year it ran, but it was the Budweiser car. I wish Tamiya or someone would make more LeMans bodies. The current P750 Reynard and Lola chassis are so cool. I wish someone made the Banana Joe Lola car. I'm getting tired of R8R's and TS020's. OK, enough of my ranting!

And the best part is the car is already in Monterey, CA. Just a short drive to Laguna Seca! Hmmm... I wonder if you could put headlights, taillights and license plates on that bad boy!

The Bentley car is the same chassis as the Toyota TS020, so all you have to do is get the right color green and you can make your own. You'd have to do some custome work on the wing, though. This car is Les' from MDI Racing. He had more pix of it, but I guess he took them down. www.mdiracing.com

Now this is what I want to race!

Unfortunately, it would take a lot more than some lights to make that legal in CA. It would need a whole bunch of smog crap too. <sigh>

I forgot that too, the car I bought also has the diffuser on it. The old Kyosho I used to run had diffusers molded into the rear pod plastic and I didn't think much of it. So when I saw the Lexan diffuser on the Tamiya, I didn't think much of it either. The odd thing is that it has a scoop on the back that goes all the way up to the bottom of the rear wing. It makes changing the rear wing kind of a pain, but no big deal. I'll have to see how I like it when I first get to run the car.

He said that he had to make the truss himself with brass and other materials. That's a bit too hardcore for me. I'd rather be racing than prettying up a body! ...not that I spent 2 hours putting decals on my new Altezza body or anything.
