When I was running WGT more, I liked them more. They didnt' seem to chunk as much, and seemed to last longer than other foams. Grip for grip, for some reason I feel these were more "grippy" with the same tire prep as Jaco's, so I modified for these foams if I needed less.

Have not tried the jacos but they bite a lot harder on carpet than the BSR does. They work really well on a med. to high bite asphalt as well. They don't wear on the asphalt near as bad as the BSR's do.

So it would seem they are not same spec as Jaco/BSR
This might be why they are not used in Spec racing ?

The reason we were given was that they didn't have an indication that they were a spec tire due to no colored foam marking them as such. That's since been fixed and any WGT races I've been to, they've been allowed. Jaco/BSR are the same tire if I'm not mistaken, so throwing these in the mix just adds a choice. I'm not sure more grip is always the best anyway, so in that sense, it'd be to the driver to determine whether they were right for the car they were setting up. We saw no huge difference around here in performance differences in sense of speed, they just react differently..... if that makes sense. You'd have to tune around them just like the BSR/Jaco's too. I could be wrong on that, but I'm fairly sure they are the WGT tire of the snowbirds this coming year as well.

The GQ tires were made with the purple spec stripe at the last years snowbirds. I had the first set on display. When they first came out they did not have the stripe. They are legal in any spec WGT tire competition. As far as I know Jaco does not have any purple stripe and not legal in most WGT/spec tires races(because they don't have the stripe). They will be bidding for the Snowbirds this year. They also sent a bid on the ROAR National held this year. However it was given to BSR.

Easy to order, and will be shipped in a very timely manner. I happen to be a local to GQ USA and have to say, they are tops in getting their customer what they want and taking care of people.
