lol most likely you will have ver 1.2 or later if not you can upgrade it, but really no way they can screw it up.

What is PEAK DETECTION?

When batteries reach a fully charged condition, the pack's voltage begins to drop. A charger that uses peak-detection senses this drop in voltage and changes from a high rate of charge to a trickle charge (or off in the pulse mode). Digital peak detection is more accurate than analog peak detection.

when you charge a battery pack, once it starts to peak , the voltage will start to drop (NicD more than Nimh). As the voltage drops the charger will sense that and terminate the charger according to the threshold you set it at.

the more threshold/mv you set the more the charger has to "wait" for the voltage drop. The less threshold/mv you set the less time... but too little of a threshold setting will false peak your batteries

because thats the only way we know a pack is charged... after it is full the voltage starts to drop a little

I punch my gp3300's @6.5V with 5mV or .030/6 cell pack. I get great results and peak them 5 minutes before the race and run them hot than cool after the race is over.
