Where did you read I dont like the mods? I dont like sensitive people who can dish it but cant take it and report stuff. The mods are doing their job. I dont like you! Funny, I get along with a slew of people, its usually the spoiled, living at home snivelling little creeps or "the holier than thou dudes who think they are down to earth" ones I clash with. Some of you dudes are totally holier than thou, very arrogant but think you arent. I am arrogant and know it, but have made attempts to be civil. But, its always the dimwits that want to irk folks because they disagree with them. Its all good, I'll know the next time.

I wasnt trying to irk anyone at all. I wanted opinions and in assisting someone who was being dissed and "kicked" and insulted, caught some of that flak. When I retorted, I got reported. Like I said, people can dish, but cant take. If I reported every insulting thread directed at me that was unwarranted, I would get banned for flooding their inbox! So, in turning a new leaf, I try to be cool. Pointed out something that I type in response to an insult is pointless, inane and simply pugnacious. But, live and learn.

true, but notice, my intention was not to argue. People got personal and I let it slide until it started getting under my skin. The funny thing is, the first time I got out of pocket, I got reported. Go figure. RMLW was called all types of ish, fighting words, no one said dick to those folks and made RMLW look like the bad guy. Forget it, not worth delving into any further. Josh, GK and whomever else are going to poke at it anyways, so why bother

Ok, I'll be a man about it. If it wasnt you, I apologize for dissing you. At least you are man enough to admit it. You got at me, but I know your skin is thick enough to take a slight. Its usually in jest, but some of these dudes have the lil brother syndrome. You want to slap em, but know your mom (moderator) will get on your case if you do.

Getting back on topic...

Are there other applications for these NiMH 4200 cell batteries or are they primarily made for R/C? Are we supporting a cottage battery industry in China?

I'm thinking that if they produce 1,000,000 batteries, a certain percentage has got to be defective. Some will be caught at the factory of course, but I'm sure that quite a few of them will make it to the consumer. But all products have their share of factory defects - some of which pose a safety risk and other that do not.

I think it's possible that NiMH battery failures are statistically insignificant. I doubt that anyone is collecting any stats on this and if we're (R/C) the only ones using these type of batteries, even more so. How many people are really going to file a complaint with the consumer protection agency? Who even knows how many of these cells are in circulation.

Based on 1,000,000 batteries:

1/2% defective = 5,000
1/4% defective = 2,500
1/10% defective = 1,000

Is 1/2% volatile and potentially hazardous batteries acceptable?
