Cool M8, EX-1 or 3PJ-S

I am using KO Mars EX-1 now. In the past I have used Futaba 3PJ S.
During all this time I am not to worry about what radio I am using.
Both radio seems ok, until one day I try my friend's sanwa M8.

It is heavy, but I found the throtle as well as the steering wheel has more feel.

Should I buy the radio?? any opinion??

I have a Mars and a Mars LE. I love that radio. My brother has a Mars LE and and M8. I've used his M8 before and I understand what you are saying. The M8 is a great radio. If you can swing it, why not own both?

Had to try to figure out..it's kinda one of those things you don't think about....but-

with my KO Mars 3x-1 I only use 2 fingers, due to the fact that there isn't alot on tension on the wheel (which I believe makes the radio feel better (more responsive) to me) This would also make the radio better for long mains, I have seen people finish racing with cramps in there fingers due to tight wheels.

With my dad's and brothers Futaba 2pk radios I know I have to use a gorrilla grip 4 fingers....

My wife also likes the feel of my KO better, because she has small fingers

It's all about what feels good to you. One thing that you should be aware of is that the M8 (probably others) has adjustable wheel tension. Using a 2mm hex driver, you can adjust a recessed screw located behind the wheel and under the main body of the radio.

I'm use only 3 fingers to drive. Using 4 fingers forces a position in the hand that is ok for a 4 or 5 minute heat, but if you plan to drive long time can be painful.

Use 3 or 4 fingers, depending on what you feels more comfortable.

Geppetto, you can adjust the steering wheel tension on Futaba 3PJ S, however you cannot adjust it on KO EX-1.

My KO is the LE, which I believe it has softer tension than the regular EX-1.
I still find it too hard though!! therefore I have changed the original spring with the softer one.

I use M8, and have tried KO LE. I think they are about the same feel, but M8 break is better to me. M8 can be accessed faster because it has a bigger LCD.

The M8 is great, I would recomend it to anyone. It has twice as many options as you'll ever need, is comfortable, and looks cool! I use three fingers to hold the wheel, I experimented from 2 to 5, and arrived on 3. I also have the steering wheel tension set fairly tight. I feel this makes it feel smoother to drive. You can adjust the tension with a 1.5mm driver.

Does anyone know how to fix "FATAL ERROR" on M8?
I got into its programming menu to access the ABL and batt, and accidentally pressed DATA CLEAR. When it's turned on again, it said "FATAL ERROR".

I have fixed the M8 by sending it to the factory.
A friend said there were buttons to press to restore it's stage. It's very easy and fast, but the factory did not want to tell.
