Default Can Futaba 3PJ work with the Fasst system?

I have the 3PJ radio, its the one generation before the 3PK. Will the 2.4ghz Fasst system work with it?

On Tower's site, it says this in the tech notes:

Quote:
This is the Futaba 2.4GHz Module and R603FS 3-Channel Receiver for the 3PK/S & 3PJ/S Radio Systems.
Tower is the only place I've found that says FASST works with the 3PJ and that includes Futaba's website. Maybe they're trying to keep it hush hush so everyone runs out and buys 3PK's like I did. Believe me, my old 3PJ feels much better in my hand than my new 3PK.

I believe the transmit modules for the J and the K are the same, so it should work. You will have to use PPM mode since the J doesn't have HRS. The FASST doesn't work in PCM.

Yes it will work

I have been using the 2.4ghz system with my 3PJ for most of the year and it has been completely reliable.

It's great not having to worry about changing channels

That should save me lots of $$$ from buying a 3PK. I still like my 3PJ a lot.

you won't be able to use HRS on the 3pj so the FAAST will be no better than a Spektrum, buy whichever is cheaper

FYI, I am using spektrum module on my T3PB (The Brick Like control ) and it is working fine. I just love my old T3PB and 3PJs.... I tried the HRS system but it is not working. So the HRS will be reserved for my future 3PK or it will be lying there for some time...

WOW that brings back memories. kickin it old skool for sure.

I hated the J menus, the K rocks the menus so well. I have big paws and they both feel good in my hands... Once tried a KO.... All i could think of was Chris Farley .................................
