After a hard hit yesterday my speedo doesn´t work anymore. The lights are showing the correct pattern at thottle movement but the motor doesn´t move. Have tried different motors aswell. Sensor and sensorless.

sounds like you have to send it in for repair/replacement unfortunately

i have no clue what could cause this.

maybe you can try soldering new motor wires to the esc. but if that doesn't help you should send it in.

Changed cables, no improvement.

I think that the heatsink attached to the side (and indirect attached to the circuit-board) absorbed most of the energy in my hit with the track barrier. Maybe something broke inside the speedo. I will send it in. The hit wasn´t harder than a normal race incident, I think the speedo should hold for this.

Wich sensorcable to use with LRP/Nosram ISTC and GM EVO 3 motors? Can I just plug in the supplied black one or do I need some sort of GM adapter in between as I think was the case with EVO 2.

Too long screws can kill the motor and also the speedo.
But try a different motor first.
Set-up number two should have a lot of punch.

Yet again Martin thanks for the very quick reply, THe fan has only been lightly scratched so is this ok. The speedo never over heated or the motor. Have been very impressed by your quick replies.
Yet again thanks

Hi,
we ran our EVO3 4T at carpetwars this month, and during the race we received a very light glancing blow coming off a corner. Almost immediately the car coasted to a stop and we retired. when I got the car back to the pits, the motor would not run under its own steam at all unless you nudged the spur gear, then the motor would stutter at best then die. We use an LRP Sphere TC Spec speedo, and when we attempted to run the motor, every one of the warning led's lit up at once.

We substituted the motor and ran fine for the rest of the meet after purchasing a motor guard. My question is this, does this sound like a sensor board failure?. I have already ordered one to try, but i'm just checking that it may be something else. The motor ran fine before the coming together.

Can I also ask as I do not fully understand brushless yet, are the rotor's the same, regardless of what motor they are in? - i.e is a 3.5T rotor the same as a 4T rotor and so on?
Sorry for my ignorance, but if you don't ask you don't learn.
