a good starting setup is:

amplimit 200
turbo 1
startamp 130
minbrake 20
maxbrake 92
fullbrake 92
frequency 1
abs 0
throttle curve 0
reserved 22
softgas 100

these should have been the most important things.

if you need any more information, just let me know.

On Genius pc software rpm limit is at 8 by default.
For GM Evo3 4.5 with 5cells should I lower this value,or leave at 8?
Thanks in advance.

I prefer using rpm limit 0

just to make sure there is no limit.

It doesn't matter, because a two pole motor will not make 120000rpm or more. The rpm limit was made mainly for bonded magnets, so they can't explode so easy, if you reduce the rpm limit or if you want to do stock racing with an rpm limit.
With sintered magnets you can adjust 0.

Default Running in sensorless mode

Are some motors preferred over others when running in sensorless mode? I used the word preferred instead of better because I'm not talking about power/speed here.

The reason I ask is I ran the 100 for the first time at the weekend with a Novak SS 10.5. In the second run I didn't notice the red adaptor lead pin was lose and the speedo only saw one sensor. I (wrongfully) assumed a sensor had broken and unplugged the sensor lead so it could run in sensorless mode. However, the motor became unpredictable and it didn't have a smooth progressive feel.

Would the Orion/GM type motors "feel" and respond better in sensorless mode?

yes, the brushless motor should have a sintered magnet or a GM bonded Magnet. Other bonded magnets are not strong enough for sensorless use.
Most of the bonded magnets get too weak after some runs.

Is it usual that the ESC (Genius 95) turns off in a hard hit. It has happen to me twice now. Works normal again after 30 s.

I donīt think so. I drive indoors with five cells and a 4.0T. Optional heatsink. Speedo temp around 65 C.

Last weekend tried 3.5T with FDR 8 on a small track and it was awesome.

Im not sure if this has been answered previously, but which FDR are you using with evo3 3.5 and 4.5 bl motors on bigger(1/8) tracks with 5cell?
Thanks
