If they are not you are doing the tx setup/mode picking process the wrong way
I get full throttle and brake it just seems that the brakrs do not seem very linear

Yeah, that would be nice, I never know if I should do it quick, slow or what Later surprises like much power at beggining or no brakes appear

hi guys,

I got my faulty GM 120 replaced with a brand new unit with the new firmware. Thankyou GM .

So im ready to feel some speed again.

Martin just wondering if you could post/send me ur mod setup for Gm 6t delta and 5cells. I know it'll be pretty basic as you just run them sensorless but could you post a .gda file for me to look at.

But im confident im not going to be slow on whatever setup lol, its just soo quick and efficient.

Cheers again,
-Jonny

Yups. Beside that we use the new break software and current limit for brakes off. But ... take care that your transmitter is set to 100% end-point on brake!
Our test showed (we also had no brake) that the end-point was set to 60%...

tx setup guide:

preperation:

endpoints on the transmitter have to be set to 100% and NOT more!

get a full battery pack, unplug the sensorwire if plugged in (works with sensorwire aswell but if it's unpluged you see the leds to check if you are doing it right)

turn on the speedo
let it boot and then press the button until you hear a long beep (programming mode enabled)

now you pick the desired mode

full throttle = mode one

full throttle - full brake = mode 2

full throttle - full brake - full throttle = mode 3 and so on

after every throttle trigger movement you hear beeps, depending on which mode you just passed

i.e. full throttle - 1 beep - full brake - 2 beeps - full throttle - 3 beeps and so on

always hold the position you just went to wait till the beeps are over then move again and hold the position

if you reached the desired mode just hold the last position (either full throttle or full brake) until you hear a long beep (programming mode over) and then you should hear a number of short beeps depending on which mode you picked and if the beeps haven't been disabled

if you now read out your speedo you should have transmitter values around 1,9ms/1,4ms/1,1ms for full throttle/neutral/full brake

that's it

So when you are setting the MODE it detects how far the sticks move and uses them as the values??

thanks

hi martin, ive sent you the email. Hope you recieved it ok.

Oh yh by the way, when i do my transmitter setup when im on the mode im on ie mode 3, ive always let go of the trigger/stick and then waited for the long beep. But you say i should hold it on the throttle or brake. I'll try that then although i have never had any problems using my method.

Jonny

I have raced the 7.2 firmware a few times now, spent (quite) a few hours on the software and I have to say...its just incredible.

No cogging, really smooth. Feels fantastic all round. My laptimes have fallen quite a bit.

The new reserved functions and power curves are excellent. Gives you complete control over the power delivery. Min timingzeit is a clever function, allows you to bring temps down and smooth the timing without really changing your setup too much.

You can set this controller to track conditions, layout and driving style, if you are prepared to learn the thing. Not for the technophobe though..

This is a big improvement over 4.9 particularly for stock motors

Big THANK YOU to GM !
